This is a Self Portrait by the famous Artist John Boyd. It is signed and dated indistinctly. John Boyd was born in 1957. John Boyd was born in Carlisle, England in 1957 and studied painting in the Slade School of Art 1976-8. He has resided in Ireland for many years and has exhibited internationally since the late 70s, most often in London, America and Ireland. His Art is part of numerous collections both public and private, in Ireland and abroad; including Christies London, Morgan Grenfell, De Beers, Glen Dimplex, and The Merrion Hotel. This Pastel on Paper is framed and a rare early self portrait. I was very fortunate to have noticed this at a lesser known Auction House in The UK.
